Race report
Charlie Tanfield, Harry Tanfield, Matthew Teggart, Adam Lewis, Ukko Peltosen and Travis Stedman attack early on to open a gap of more than 4 minutes.
The gap has fallen to 1 minute when the race reaches the hilly zone of the last 30 kilometres. Teggart and Lewis are the last attackers to be reeled in on Wanside Rigg.
Davide Gabburo goes solo with 16 kilometres to go. He tackles Hardens Hill with a 25 seconds lead. Porte brings the peloton back on the climb.
Dylan Teuns counters a Nils Politt attack just after the summit, but the attackers are brought back and the race comes down to a sprint finish. Cees Bol and Jake Stewart go head to head, while the Dutchman takes the spoils in a photo finish.
Overnight leader Corbin Strong finishes in third to stay in the leader’s jersey.
