Tour Down Under 2014 Results stage 6 and final ranking

André Greipel? Or Marcel Kittel? In the streets of Adelaide the first German was the best in the bunch sprint. Simon Gerrans kept the 1 second lead over Cadel Evans and won the GC.

Kittel didn’t even reach the top-10 since he lost track of his own Giant-Shimano train. Mark Renshaw came in second and, as mentioned, Greipel won.

It was Greipel’s second stage victory in the 2014 Tour Down Under and his 16th in the history of the race, making him the record holder. Gerrans is the record holder if you look at his GC wins in his home country: 3.
