Paris - Nice 2025: Merlier wins for second day running

Race report
Three riders go on the attack shortly after the start. Alexandre Delettre, Samuel Fernández, and Jonas Abrahamsen quickly put the peloton at a 3-minute gap, but that's as far as it goes.
Abrahamsen heads out alone in the last 50 kilometres, while Matteo Jorgenson bags 2 bonus seconds in the intermediate sprint with one local lap to go.
With 2.7 kilometers to go, Abrahamsen’s adventure comes to an end, and then Tim Merlier powers to his second consecutive sprint victory.Emilien Jeannière and Hugo Page finish at a respectable distance in second and third place. However, Page is later relegated to 136th place, promoting Mads Pedersen to third.
