Summer Olympics 2016 Rio
The Olympic road races were won by Greg Van Avermaet and Anna van der Breggen. Both the men's race and the women's race were played out on a demanding course with steep climbs and cobbles. Fabian Cancellara took gold in the individual time trial for men, ahead of Dumoulin and Froome, while the women's time trial was won by Kristin Armstrong.
