Summer Olympics 2016 Rio: Riders road race – men

The Summer Olympics are held with national cycling teams. The number of riders depends on the 2015 UCI-rankings. The top five ranked countries are qualified to select the maximum of five riders for the race. The startlist of the Olympic road race for men will total 144 riders.

Belgium, Colombia, Great Britain, Italy and Spain are allowed to start with a five riders squad. Nations ranked 6 to 15 in the 2015 UCI World Tour come with four-man squads, while the other qualifications are based on the continental UCI-rankings.
