Giro 2026 Route stage 15: Voghera - Milan

Giro d'Italia 2026 Sunday, 24 May – It doesn’t get much flatter than stage 15 of the Giro d'Italia. The elevation gain between Voghera and Milan doesn't exceed 200 metres, while the race is 157 kilometres long.

Latest update 7 May: time bonuses added

For: sprinters
Key feature: royal sprint finish

The most remarkable thing about stage 15 is that the Giro finally returns to Milan without it being a final-day time trial.

We have to go back to 2015 for the last time a road stage finished in Milan. The peloton came from Turin that day, and while everyone was expecting a bunch sprint, Iljo Keisse and Luke Durbridge pulled off a stunning surprise by staying clear of the chasing peloton. The Belgian outsmarted the Australian in the ensuing two-up sprint.

The route is just as flat as it was back then and also ends with several laps through the city centre, but a similar outcome is highly unlikely.

The Turin-Milan stage of 2015 was the final stage of that edition. While Keisse took the stage honours, Alberto Contador sealed the GC ahead of Fabio Aru and Mikel Landa.

Time bonuses of 6, 4 and 2 seconds are up for grabs at the intermediate sprint at kilometre 114.8; at the finish line, 10, 6 and 4 await the first three riders.

Stage 15 of the Giro d’Italia starts at 13:40 and is expected to finish at around 17:15 - both local times (CEST). For details, see the timetable in the slideshow below this article.
