The route couldn’t be more straightforward. First, the riders head out and back to Lido di Ostia — essentially Rome’s beach — before tackling the final circuit in the capital of Italy.

It’s the fourth consecutive year that the Giro finishes in Rome. In 2023, Mark Cavendish took the spoils, Tim Merlier triumphed in 2024, and last year it was a (double) celebration for Olav Kooij and his Visma squad, as his teammate Simon Yates sealed the overall victory after his coup the previous day.

Which sprinter will take the stage win this time?

Time bonuses of 6, 4 and 2 seconds are up for grabs at the intermediate sprint at kilometre 77.7; at the finish line, 10, 6 and 4 await the first three riders.
