Race report
In perfect weather with hardly any wind, Jesper Asselman and Gijs Van Hoecke don’t take long to attack. In one hour, the duo races to a maximum advantage of 7 minutes before the pack takes control to bring the gap down to 2 minutes at the Golden Kilometre, with 21.5 km’s left.
Asselman was in yesterday’s break also and this morning he was third in the overall standings, 0’04” down on leader Viviani. In the Golden Kilometre he grabs the max of bonfication seconds, thus taking the overall lead.
With 15 km’s to go the break is history and we are off for the second bunch sprint in the 2015 Eneco Tour.
