Critérium du Dauphiné 2023 Route stage 4: Cours - Belmont-de-la-Loire

Criterium du Dauphine 2023 Wednesday 7 June - The 4th stage on the Dauphiné is an individual time trial. The rolling course is 31.1 kilometres long.

The only ascent of the day appears early on. It's the Col de la Croix, a 2.2 kilometres climb with an average gradient of 4.7%. The riders reach the summit at kilometre 3.

A long and gradual descent takes the pilots to the foot of a short hill with the only time check at the top. The route climbs for 300 metres at 6.4% to the village of Mars. The first time check appears after 10.7 kilometres.

The following 9 kilometres are as good as flat and then the riders storm past the second time check. The last 10 kilometres climb at shallow gradients - mostly 2 or 3% - to the line in Belmont-de-la-Loire.
