World Cycling Championships 2020 Imola: Route ITT – men

The riders roll down the start ramp at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari. After leaving the race track they cross the Santerno River and turn in southwesterly direction on Via Montanara. The first 14.9 kilometres are flat or run false flat uphill with gradients of 1 or 2%. So that’s nothing.

After the intermediate time check in Borgo Tossigagno the route returns to Imola. With approximately 5 kilometres to go the road rises 500 metres at 4%. Moments later the riders re-enter the race track and fly down the renowned Tosa corner and power on to the finishing straight.

Rohan Dennis has been imperious in the last two World Championships time trials. This edition is different though – flatter and shorter.
