World Cycling Championships 2016 Doha, Qatar: Route ITT – men

World Cycling Championships Cycling Qatar ITT Wednesday, 12 October 2016 - At 40 kilometres, the individual time trial at the UCI World Championships in Doha is played out on flat roads. The parcours is marked by sharp turns in the first and last part of the race. Vasil Kiryienka is title defender.

Near the Losail International Circuit the riders roll of the starting ram. Those who have raced the Tour of Qatar will recognize the track as it was featured in the ITT of the race on numerous editions. Last February Edvald Boasson Hagen powered to glory on these roads. The circuit is marked by eleven 90-degree turns, three U-turns and long straights in between.

The first intermediate time check is when the riders leave the circuit. On a long straight road through the desert they head for Doha. When entering the city the second time check takes place.

The finish is at The Pearl-Qatar, an artificial island in Doha. Four sharp turns mark the finale.

Results ITT for men.
