Race report
A group with Evenepoel, Bardet, Caruso, Storer and Kämna rides away from the peloton after 30 kilometres of action. They open up a 4 minutes lead on the Col Hourcère, while UAE Emirates sets the pace in the peloton to bring it down to 3 minutes.
Evenepoel accelerates before the summit of the Hourcère with Bardet in his wheel. Evenepoel reaches the summit in first position, which he repeats at the Puerto de Larrau to move into the KOM lead. He extends his lead on the Puerto de Laza.
Evenepoel sets the pace during the entire race. Bardet loses contact inside the final 4 kilometres and the Belgian solos to triumph.
The GC group crosses the line 8 minutes later. Kuss keeps the GC lead.
