Vuelta 2022 Favourites stage 2: For fast men #1

fotobureau Cor VosThe 2nd stage of la Vuelta is played out on a virtually flat route between 's Hertogenbosch and Utrecht. A bunch sprint is the most likely outcome.

The Gran Salida in the Netherlands is a treat for the fast men. Spain is one of the most mountainous countries in Europe, Holland the flattest. The Amerongse Berg is the only climb of the day - 1.1 kilometres at 4.7% and with its summit 50 kilometres before the finish in Utrecht Science Park.

Last year, Fabio Jakobsen was the most successful sprinter at La Vuelta. The Dutchman won three stages and the points classification.
