UAE Tour 2020 Route stage 6: Al Ruwais - Al Mirfa

UAE Tour 2020Friday 28 February - Scheduled to run from Al Ruwais to Al Mirfa, the penultimate stage of the UAE Tour is called off after two staff members of one of the participating teams tested positive for COVID-19.

The riders clip into their pedals in Al Ruwais, home of one of the most modern industrial complexes in the UAE. The race is entirely played out in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The start is roughly 240 kilometres to the west of Abu Dhabi City and the finish lies 120 kilometres closer to the capital. The route runs entirely along the Arabian Gulf.

The finish is in Al Mirfa, a small coastal village. The riders cross the line for the first time after approximately 100 kilometres to ride three more local laps of 19 kilometres.

An uphill begins 1.5 kilometres before the line to reach a kicker at 7% under the flamme rouge. The last 700 metres fly downhill to the finish.
