The route of the last stage is virtually flat, which was also the case in recent editions. Fabio Jakobsen won last year’s Paterna-Valencia stage to succeed Dylan Groenewegen (2019), Jürgen Roelandts (2018) and Bryan Coquard (2017).
Since the race returned to the UCI calendar in 2016, the Tour of Valencia always finished in the provincial capital. The 2016 edition did not start in Paterna, but the finale was similar. Stijn Vandenbergh pulled it off and he stayed ahead of the chasing pack.
