Race report
The breakaway riders are Xabier Isasa, Tobias Bayer, Diego Uriarte, Sinuhé Fernández, and Julen Arriola-Bengoa. Their lead never stretches over 3 minutes.
Arriola-Bengoa is dropped before the finale, while Isasa is the last attacker to be caught with 2 kilometres to go.
Caleb Ewan powers to triumph in the ensuing sprint, while Maximilian Schachmann retains the overall race lead.
