Stephen Williams won edition 84 of the Tour of Britain, while Oscar Onley and Tom Donnenwirth rounded out the podium. Paul Magnier won half of the six stages, overall winner Williams took two. The 2024 Tour of Britain started on Tuesday 3 September and finished on Sunday the 8th.

The Route

The Big Start of the Tour of Britain was on Tuesday 3 September in the Scottish Borders with a race from Kelso to Kelso, while the Grand Finale was on Sunday 8 September in Felixstowe.

Kelso - Kelso

Tuesday 3 September - The Tour of Britain gets underway in the picturesque Scottish Borders. Adding up to 181.9 kilometres, the 1st stage starts and finishes on the cobbled market square in Kelso.

Darlington - Redcar

Wednesday 4 September - The Tour of Britain crosses from Scotland into England for the 2nd stage, a race in the Tees Valley. The riders set off from Darlington and the finish is on the seafront in Redcar. Taking in an elevation gain of 2,594 metres. the race totals 152.1 kilometres.

Sheffield - Barnsley

Thursday 5 September - At 166 kilometres, the 3rd stage of the Tour of Britain travels from Sheffield to Barnsley. While moving through Rotherham and Doncaster along the way, the riders are to conquer over 2,700 metres of ascent. The last climb of the day is Hound Hill, 1.4 kilometres at 5.6%, and topping out with 4 kilometres to go.
