Tour of Britain 2019 Route stage 6: Pershore ITT

Tour of Britain stage 6 Thursday 12 September - The sixth day of action on the Tour of Britain is likely to be pre-decisive in terms of the GC. The riders tackle a 14.4 kilometres individual time trial that starts and finishes in Pershore.

Riders will do battle in an individual time trial to the southeast of Pershore. It is the first time that a stage on the Tour of Britain is entirely played out within Worcestershire.

Last year's Tour of Britain didn't feature an ITT. Instead, the teams raced against the clock on a trying course to the Whinlatter Pass with Jumbo-Visma taking the spoils. The Dutch squad is strong in the time trials on the Tour of Britain, as their then leader Lars Boom won the ITT in 2017 before he went on to win the GC.

The 2019 ITT is 14.4 kilometres long and follows a scenic anti-clockwise loop in which the riders storm through Little Comberton and Bricklehampton. The route is virtually flat and the intermediate time check is exactly halfway at kilometre 7.2.
