The Tour of Britain is on the cycling calendar from Saturday the 7th of September to Saturday the 14th. The first two stages are played out in Scotland before the action moves to the north and midlands of England. The route totals 1,250 kilometres and includes two summit finishes – in Kendal and in the Burton Dassett Hills. As always, the race combines short and sharp hills for punchy climbers with flat to rolling stages for fast finishers. (Slideshow route/profile)
Julian Alaphilippe is title holder. In 2018, the podium was rounded out by Wout Poels and Primoz Rogic.
