Race report
Fabio Felline and Mikel Honoré jump off the front on the early climb to Ashton. The duo opens a 4 minutes gap.
Honoré pushes on alone after Checker Hill, with 35 kilometres remaining, but obviously he does not stand a chance.
While race leader Rohan Dennis has to change bikes in the run-up to Corkscrew Road, he is still well behind the front at the foot of the climb. Jay Vine accelerates on the steepest part with Simon Yates in his wheel. Pello Bilbao makes it across and the three keep on pushing on descent.
Bilbao outsprints Yates for the stage won, while Vine is happy to take third place plus the ochre jersey.
