Tour de Suisse 2016 Stage 2: Sagan outsprints Richeze, Roelandts takes leader’s jersey

Tour de Suisse Peter Sagan 2016Totalling at 187.6 kilometres, the riders race a hilly local circuit in Baar four times. It boils down to a bunch sprint with Peter Sagan fastest. Race report
The 2nd stage of the Tour de Suisse leaves in rainy conditions. With 10 kms done Krizek, Minard, Tolhoek and Wyss get clear and they race to a maximum lead at 5 minutes. With 35 kms left they are reeled in.

Cancellara bests Roelandts in the intermediate sprint with 10 kms left, thus cementing his overall lead by 1 second, but it turns tot to be to no avail.

Sagan powers to the win, yet behind him a splits occurs when Gaviria stops his efforts in full sprints. Therefore most riders get stuck behind and Cancellara is one of them.
