Race report
A group of six riders breaks clear on the first climb of the day. Antwan Tolhoek, Chris Hamilton, Davide Villella, Jonathan Caicedo, Hermann Pernsteiner and Rein Taaramäe open up a 3 minutes gap.
Taaramäe goes solo with 50 kilometres remaining to enter the last climb almost 2 minutes ahead of the peloton. The Estonian rider is caught on the slopes.
Some thirty riders are remaining in the peloton on the top of the La Vue-des-Alpes climb.
In the ensuing sprint it comes down to a Colbrelli/Bevin clash. The Italian opens early and wins the race.
Dennis stays in the overall race lead, while Bevin moves up to second place thanks to the time bonus of 6 seconds.
