Tour de Romandie 2015 Route stage 2: Apples – Saint Imier

Wednesday, April 29, 2015 - The 2nd stage of the Tour de Romandie is a 168.1 kilometres ride. The start is in Apple and the finish in Saint Imier. In between are four climbs, the last with 15.2 kilometres left.

Opportunities galore for adventurers! Successively, the riders have to conquer the Col des Etroits, Le Haut de la Cote, Les Pontins and the Col de la Vue des Alpes. Those are climbs of the 2nd, 3rd, 2nd and 2nd category.

Col de la Vue des Alpes will probably play a major role in the results of stage 2. The 8 kilometres climb at 5.5% is crested with 15.2 kilometres left. Then a sharp drop lies waiting.

In 2014, home-rider Michael Albasini won both the 1st and 2nd stage in the Tour de Romandie.
