The 68th Tour de Romandie starts Tuesday the 29th of April and finishes Sunday the 4th of May and is held in the South eastern part of Switzerland. The race contains a prologue, an ITT on the final day and lots of climbing in between. (Slideshow route/profile)
For many riders the race yields as the final preparation for the Giro d’Italia which starts 5 days later. But a remarkable thing is that the last three winners also won the Tour de France later that year. These winners are Chris Froome, Bradley Wiggins and Cadel Evans.
