The starting podium is situated on Schiedamsedijk, at the base of the Erasmus Bridge. The riders head in the opposite direction, racing across Coolsingel to turn around at the Hofplein roundabout and head back to the start.
This time the riders do cross the Erasmus Bridge. Within the next 2 kilometres the route zigzags across four more bridges – Spoorweghavenbrug, Binnenhavenbrug, Koninginnebrug, Willemsbrug – before the final kilometre runs dead straight along the Nieuwe Maas. The finish is, just as earlier in the day, situated at the Boompjes.
