Race report
Marie-Morgane Le Deunff is the first rider to attack at kilometre 18. She is brought back after a 6 kilometres effort before Typhaine Laurance gives it a go. She is brought back with 80 kilometres remaining.
The peloton remains bunched until Marta Lach jumps off the front inside the last 45 kilometres. She is caught after a 14 kilometres effort. Moments later it is Lizzie Deignan who wins the intermediate sprint.
The peloton is down to some 20 riders on the Côte de Durtol when Lotte Kopecky strikes in the last few hundred metres. She reaches the summit with a 12 seconds lead, which she widens on descent.
Kopecky solos to victory and the first yellow jersey before Lorena Wiebes outsprints Charlotte Kool and Marianne Vos.
