Tirreno-Adriatico 2024 Route stage 1: Lido di Camaiore - Lido di Camaiore
Monday 4 March - The Tirreno-Adriatico opens with an individual time trial of 10 kilometres. The flat course runs up and down the Tyrrhenian Sea shore.
The riders roll down the start ramp in Lido di Camaiore to storm in southerly direction to Viareggio. That’s the turning point as well as the intermediate time check.
Last year’s Tirreno-Adriatico also opened with an ITT along the coast line, but the route ran in the opposite direction – to the north instead of the south. Yet, the essence is exactly the same. It’s flat and it’s fast.
Filippo Ganna won the Lido di Camaiore ITT both last year and in 2022.
