Paris-Nice 2026: Sprint triumph Kanter, Lamperti retains yellow
fotobureau Cor VosAfter a largely uneventful run-in, Daan Hoole animates the race with a strong solo in the final 20 kilometres. His move is brought to an end with 800 metres to go, and the sprinters then take over. Max Kanter claims the win ahead of Laurence Pithie and Jasper Stuyven, while Luke Lamperti keeps the yellow jersey.

Race report
The flag has barely dropped before Jasha Sütterlin launches the first attack, while Casper Pedersen, Mathis le Berre and Mattéo Vercher chase him down. The quertet opens up a lead of 2 minutes, after which the gap stabilises.
Sütterlin does not get to enjoy his breakaway for long and drops back within the first hour. Shortly afterwards, Vercher goes off the back as well, before the two remaining attackers are reeled in well before the finish too.
At the Fromont intermediate sprint, Vito Braet earns 6 bonus seconds, Ayuso 4, and Lamperti 2, before Daan Hoole launches a solo attack with 20 kilometres remaining. The Dutch time trial champion puts 27 seconds into the peloton
