Paris-Nice 2015: Richie Porte wins ITT and Paris-Nice
All eyes are on Richie Porte and leader Tony Gallopin during the last 9.6 kilometres of Paris-Nice 2015. In the uphill ITT to Col d'Eze the Tasmanian blows his competion away and wins the Race to the Sun. Spilak offers a good performance and finishes second. Race report
Porte was 36 seconds down on Gallopin at the start and halfway it is already clear de Frenchman didn’t stand a chance. The man from Tasmania puts 58 seconds into the leader and at the finish line it ballooned to over one and a half minute.
Simon Spilak offers a great performance. At the eleventh hour he climbs from place 7 onto the podium in Paris-Nice by storming up the hill in 20’36”.
