Paris-Nice 2015 stage 1: Saint Rémy lès Chevreuse - Contres

At the end of the 1st stage of Paris-Nice 2015, the polka dot jersey will be handed out. The winner should be wide wake at the start since with 4 kilometres done the only points of the day will be distributed atop Côte de Bel Air – a 4 kilometres climb at 3%. The rest of the day will be as flat as a skating-track.

Departure-place Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse is nestled in the green woods to the southwest of Paris. The riders head south and without much of a detour they arrive in Contres. The River Loire is crossed with 40 kilometres left.

Contres hosted Paris-Nice before in 2010 with Greg Henderson winning the stage after an early escape. He bested his comrades in the sprint.

The pack leaves at 11.00 AM local time and are expected to arrive in Contres approximately 03.50 PM.
