Giro Rosa 2018The 29th edition of the Giro Rosa starts with a team time trial at Lago Maggiore on the 6th of July. The most important road race for women was first held in 1988 and with the exception of two years – 1991 and 1992 – it’s been held ever since. In 2018, the Queen Stage travels from Tricesimo to Monte Zoncolan, which means a final climb of 10.1 kilometres with an average gradient of 11.9%. The next day, on July 15th, the last day of action bring a criterium featuring a 4 kilometres at 10%. Start and finish are in Cividale del Friuli. (Slideshow route/profile)

Anna van der Breggen is title holder. In the 2017 Giro Rosa the podium was rounded out by Elisa Longo Borghini and Annemiek van Vleuten.
