Giro 2014 Route stage 10: Modena – Salsomaggiore Terme

Tuesday, May 20th – A 173 kilometre stage running from the city of Modena to Salsomaggiore Terme, a spa town bursting with saltwater pools. It's a flat stage and should see a sprint finale. (Slideshow route/profile)

Giro 2014: Route Stage 10: Modena > Salsomaggiore Terme

Sign in takes place in the historic town of Modena. The city in the Po Valley is filled with beautiful architecture, like the Modena Cathedral, the Ducal Palace and the enchanting Piazza Grande. Tired riders won't be too enthused, but at least they have a reasonably flat stage ahead of them.

The first 150 kilometres barely contain a speed bump, and it's only as the arrival town of Salsomaggiore Terme draws near, just after passing Parma, that it gets a little bumpy. The finish is slightly uphill but this shouldn't affect the sprinters.
