Giro 2014: Stage 14 Favourites: Quintana time?

A tough mountain stage to Oropa that will seperate the men from the boys. It's Pantani terrain and a similar styled rider will likely take today's stage. (Slideshow route/profile)

The most similar rider in today’s peloton being Nairo Quintana. The little Columbian packs a serious punch and if on form this could be the day he announces himself as main favourite.

It won’t be easy though and there are plenty of teams and riders looking to nullify his impact.

The experienced diesels Cadel Evans and Ivan Basso will not go easily, but they are not as explosive as the young Colombian Quintana.

Countryman Uran will be looking to improve on his 2nd place showing last year and is also very strong in the mountains.

The pressure will all be on Quintana however to stamp his authority on the race.
