Giro 2014: Stage 2 Favourites: Sprinters battle it out

Stage 2 is one of the flattest in the Giro. Riders do a tour of Northern Ireland, starting and ending in Belfast. The safe money is on a sprint showdown. (Slideshow route/profile)

Kittel was one of the first fully confirmed of Giant-Shimano, and he will be in the mix and one of the favourites for the stage.

Another sprinter to impress so far this year is young Dutchman and up and coming classics star Boy van Poppel (image).
