   The Tour of the Alps finishes with a rain soaked hilly race. Thibaut Pinot outguns David de la Cruz in a sprint-à-deux. Romain Bardet drops Pello Bilbao on the last climb to win the GC ahead of the youngsters Michael Storer and Thymen Arensman.

9. Tour of the Alps 2022 Route stage 1: Cles - San Martino di Castrozza

   Monday 18 April - The 1st stage is the longest of the entire Tour of the Alps. The 160.9 kilometres race between Cles and San Martino di Castrozza concludes on a rising slope before the last 1.5 kilometres are flat.

10. Tour of the Alps 2022 Route stage 2: San Martino di Castrozza – Lana

    Tuesday 19 April - The 2nd stage of the Tour of the Alps is 154.1 kilometres and travels from San Martino di Castrozza to Lana. Two huge climbs in the second half - Mendel Pass and Gampen Pass - lead onto a fast and flat finale.

11. Tour of the Alps 2022 Route stage 3: Lana - Niederdorf

    Wednesday 20 April - Stage 3 at the Tour of the Alps features 154.6 kilometres and three climbs, the last of which is the trying Passo Furcia with a section of 3 kilometres at 10%. The riders plunge down onto a 14 kilometres long run-in to the line.

12. Tour of the Alps 2022 Route stage 4: Niederdorf – Kals am Groβglockner

    Thursday 21 April - The Tour of the Alps heads into Austria on the fourth day of action. The 142.4 kilometres race finishes in the shadow of the mightly Groβglockner.

13. Tour of the Alps 2022 Route stage 5: Lienz - Lienz

    Friday 22 April - At 114.5 kilometres, the Tour of the Alps concludes with a hilly race in and around Lienz. The route consists of several loops and a lot of steep ramps, while the last peak is crested with 10 kilometres remaining.
