Vuelta 2017 Favourites stage 21: Fast finishers in Madrid
Spinters are are in the Vuelta. The fast finishers who have had the endurance to hold on till the end are given the opportunity to shine in the last stage.

The last stage of the Vuelta is played out on the flat. At 117.6 kilometres, the race is similar to the closing stage of the Tour de France. In stead of a criterium on the Champs-Élysées the riders race nine 5.9 kilometres laps in the centre of Madrid.
Last year, Magnus Cort was fastest in the Spanish capital. In the past, John Degenkolb (2015, 2012), Michael Matthews (2013) and Peter Sagan (2011) powered to victory in Madrid, too.
