The first part of the ride is as flat as can be. It’s only in the middle part the riders have to show their strength. In 70 kilometres four cols of the 3rd category await them. The climbs are not steep, but their total length of more than 40 kilometres could be hard for the non-climbers. The top of the last climb is 46 kilometres from the finish.
After this intermezzo a long descent follows, which is interrupted by a another small climb at about 10 kilometres from the finish line. From 1800 to 300 metres before the finish the road goes uphill with a modest 4,5 %, followed by some downhill to the finish.
Arcos de la Frontera is a typical white Andalucian town, picturesquely built atop of a cliff.
You can follow the race here.
The finish is expected around 17:40 (CET).
