Race report
Viacheslav Ivanov, Noah Campos, Rubén Fernández, Fábio Costa, João Silva, Gonçalo Carvalho, Tomas Contte, Hugo Nunes and Diogo Pinto make up the breakaway of the day. They open up a 2-minute gap before the peloton closes it down with 35 kilometres left to race.
Noah Campos, João Silva and Hugo Nunes have other ideas. The three of them press on once more, although Nunes is the sturdiest, but well before the finale, the peloton is well and truly back together.
In Lagos, it’s up to the sprinters — or rather, up to Paul Magnier. The young Frenchman storms to a commanding victory, ahead of Jordi Meeus and Oded Kogut.
The overall standings remain unchanged, with Juan Ayuso holding a 7-second lead over Paul Seixas.
