UAE Tour 2023 Route stage 2: Khalifa Port – TTT
The inaugural edition - in 2019 - of the UAE Tour kicked off with a TTT. This is the second time trial for teams in the history of the race. Jumbo-Visma took the win in 2019 ahead of Sunweb (now DSM) and Bahrain-Merida (now Bahrain-Victorious).
The race is entirely played out on an exposed route that's surrounded by terminals. It is a fairly straightforward affair with two U-turns. The pace will be high since the route is as flat as can be.
Khalifa Port is strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It's a deepwater port and the main hub of the UAE's container traffic.
