UAE Tour 2022 Route stage 3: Ajman – Ajman

Tuesday 22 February - The individual time trial at the UAE Tour is played out on a flat route of 9 kilometres. The out-and-back circuit is situated in Ajman, capital of the emirate with the same name.

Once before in its short history the UAE Tour visited the smallest emirate. Three years ago the Queen Stage started in Ajman to travel to Jebel Jais.

The route of the time trial is as straightforward as can possibly be. On a flat road the riders go one way before a U-turn takes them back on the other lane of the same road.

Last year's UAE Tour time trial took place on Hudayriyat Island in Abu Dhabi. Filippo Ganna took the spoils on the 13 kilometres course, easily besting Stefan Bissegger and Mikkel Bjerg.

The only intermediate time check in Ajman is located exactly halfway.
