Tour of the Basque Country 2024Edition 63 of the Tour of the Basque Country – or, Itzulia Basque Country – starts on Monday 1 April with a time trial in Irun and will finish on Saturday the 6th. The contest in northern Spain is a feast for climbers and puncheurs, as the Basque Country is famous for its steep hills and mountains. The race to the Sanctuary of Arrate used to be a staple, but last year it was not included. (Slideshow route/profile)

Jonas Vingegaard won last year’s Tour of the Basque Country, while Mikel Landa and Ion Izagirre rounded out the final podium.
