Tour of Qatar 2016 Route stage 2: Qatar University – Qatar University
Following the start at The Qatar University, the riders leave Doha with West-Bay Lagoon on their right side. They pass Losail International Circuit, playground for tomorrow's ITT, and head for Al Khor Airport and it's there the way back begins. A little later the first intermediate sprint offers time bonuses of 3, 2 and 1 second.
Shortly after entering Doha, the second intermediate sprint lays waiting before a local circuit on the artificial island The Pearl is to be taken four times. Via West-Bay Lagoon the riders eventually end up where it all started - at the grounds of Qatar University.
With 850 metres left a 90 degrees turn takes the riders onto the long last straight, which is perfect for a thunderous bunch sprint.
At the finish 10, 6 and 4 seconds, the first three riders earn time bonuses in stage 2 of the 2016 Tour of Qatar.
