Race report
The breakaway - Roy Goldstein, Jonny Brown, Ian Garrison, Joonas Henttala and Michael Hernandez - takes a maximum lead of 5 minutes before being brought back inside the last 5 kilometres.
Tejay van Garderen goes down twice in the finale, and is also held up by a crash just outside the last 3 kilometres. Meanwhile, the peloton is racing at full speed to the sprint finish. Fabio Jakobsen outguns Jasper Philipsen on the line, while Peter Sagan settles for third place.
Van Garderen crosses the line almost 1 minute after the sprinters, but all riders affected by the crash outside the last 3 kilometres receive the field time, so he holds the GC lead.
