Race report
After 45 minutes of frantic action the breakaway consists Stefan De Bod, Jacopo Mosca, Gil Gelders, Maurice Ballerstedt, Simon Geschke, António Morgado and Franck Bonnamour. Th seven put almost 4 minutes into the peloton.
The attackers are reeled in with 4 kilometres left to race before Isaac Del Toro shred the peloton to pieces by setting a ferocious pace on Mount Lofty. Only leader Stephen Williams, Jhonatan Narváez, Isaac Del Toro, Bart Lemmen and Laurence Pithie are able to follow. It comes down to a sprint and the man in ochre takes the win, not only in the stage but also on GC.
