Race report
Michael Schär and Nickolas Zukowsky attack from the gun. The two open up a 4.30 minutes gap in no-time before the peloton takes the reins.
Mauro Schmid and Remco Evenepoel both gain 1 second in the Golden Kilometre.
The attackers are caught in the climb to Oberarig before it comes down to a bunch sprint in the streets of Notwill. Wout van Aert opens the sprint rather early and when he runs out of steam Biniam Girmay overhauls him with a powerful surge. Arnaud Démare finishes in second, while Stefan Küng stays in the overall race lead.
