Tour de Suisse 2022 Route stage 4: Grenchen - Brunnen

Tour de Suisse 2022 profile stage 4 Wednesday 15 June - The 4th stage is the flattest of this year's Tour de Suisse. The race between Grenchen and Brunnen is 191 kilometres long and takes in an elevation gain of 1,938 metres. Which is nothing for Swiss standards. A punchy climb inside the last 20 kilometres is expected to inspire a compelling finale.

The route is flat to rolling for the most part, but two uphill sectors stand out. The first one appears as early as kilometre 30 and will not play a role in the outcome whatsoever. It's a 2.5 kilometres climb at 7.5%.

The second hill has the potential to thwart a bunch sprint, as it is located inside the last 20 kilometres. It's a short and sharp climb - 2.8 kilometres at 8.7% in the steepest part. After this the route continues to climb false flat for about 2 more 2 kilometres.

With 14 kilometres to go the riders fly downhill before the last 4 kilometres of the route are flat.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 en 1 seconds.
