Race report
Michal Kwiatkowski is one of the most active riders in the beginning of the race and after a few failed attempts the world champion hits it off with Silvan Dillier, Daryl Impey and Axel Domont. The quartet races to a 4 minutes advantage and then the pack takes control and brings it down to 2 minutes. There it linger for a while.
With 15 km’s left the escapee’s gain is down to half a minute. Domont is dropped.
Kwiat et al are tough – 14 seconds with 5 km’s left -, yet the race comes down to a bunch sprint. Kristoff outguns Sagan in a close finish.
