Race report
Attacks are flying from the start until Valentin Madouas, Quentin Pacher, Jonas Abrahamsen, and Anthony Turgis break clear at kilometre 20. The four open up a maximum lead of almost 4 minutes.
With over 40 kilometres left to race, the attackers are caught.
A bigh crash within the last 12 kilometres takes down Primoz Roglic, and he is forced to chase.
Arnaud Démare obstructs a strong Wout van Aert during the sprint, allowing Biniam Girmay to clinch the victory. Despite Démare’s disruptive behavior, Van Aert recovers to finish second.
Roglic loses 2 minutes and 27 seconds, slipping to sixth place, while other GC contenders maintain their positions. Therefore, Tadej Pogacar continues to lead the Tour de France.
