Tour de France 2024 Favourites stage 13: For fast men #7
fotobureau Cor VosYes, before you mention it, we see a lot of opportunities for the fast men. Some of them are for those with a strongman skill set, others for the pure sprinters. Stage 13 of the Tour de France is suited for the latter category.

The riders cruise on flat to gently rolling roads all day. Two climbs that count for the King of the Mountains competition stand out – Côte de Blachon (1.5 kilometres at 6.9%) and Côte de Simacourbe (1.8 kilometres at 6.4%). But they shouldn’t cause any problems for the fast men, as the summit of the last one is just under 30 kilometres from the finish.
So far, there have been five stages for the pure sprinters, with four different winners turning out on top: Girmay (2x), Cavendish, Groenewegen, and Philipsen.
