Tour de France 2023 Favourites stage 11: For fast men#4

Jasper Philipsen - Tour de France 2023 Favourites stage 11: For fast men#4foto: Cor VosUndulating, that's an apt way to describe the 11th stage. Although flat is just as accurate. Odds are that the sprinters team will have it their way in the finale. (Slideshow route/profile)

The elevation gain in the race from Clermont-Ferrand to Moulins is about 1,800 metres. Most of it in the first part of the route.

Stage 11 features three classified climbs. The Côte de Chaptuzat (1.9 kilometres at 5%) appears after 31.8 kilometres, Côte de Mercurol (2.9 kilometres at 4.9%) after 49.5 kilometres and Côte de la Croix Blanche (1.6 kilometres at 5.4%) after 118.5 kilometres.

There is still more than 61 kilometres remaining at that last ‘summit’. The rest of the parcours is flat. Long story short, fast men are going to have it their way on the 1.3 kilometres home straight in Moulins.

The first three bunch sprints were won by Jasper Philipsen, while Mads pedersen won the uphill sprint on the eigth day of action.
